Block doesn't collect your data. Seriously. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics.
YouTube playlists: When you paste a playlist URL, Block fetches the video titles from YouTube's public API. This data is only used to create your calendar events and is never stored or sent anywhere else.
Your calendar: Block requests permission to access your calendar. It creates events when you schedule a playlist, and can delete events it previously created when you choose to remove a schedule. Block only modifies events it created — it never reads, modifies, or deletes your other calendar data.
Block stores the following data locally on your device only:
None of this data ever leaves your device.
YouTube API: Block uses YouTube's API to fetch playlist information. YouTube's privacy policy applies to their service: Google Privacy Policy
Apple Calendar: Events are created and managed using Apple's EventKit framework and stored in your device's calendar app.
